Generally, when you click on an image of something great on Pinterest, you’re taken to the page it was pinned from. This is great if it was pinned from an original source, but sometimes to get to the information, you need to click through several links on several pages.
Pinterest is making life easier, by connecting with popular sites to provide you all the information you want when clicking on a pin, whether it is a couch you’d love to own, the recipe of that amazing three-tier chocolate cake, or a synopsis of a movie with a kick-ass cast.
You’ll be able to tell when a pin has more information by the icon that appears below the picture – and Pinterest will even update your old pins!
Sites currently partnered with Pinterest include Anthropologie, Asos, Etsy, Better Homes and Gardens, Good Housekeeping, Martha Stewart Living, Flixster, Netflix, Rotten Tomatoes (click here for a comprehensive list of partner sites).
And the Pin It button will now also be available in mobile apps, so pin from wherever you are!
You can only see these new pins in the new look launched in March – simply click the Get it now button on top of your home feed.
